We’re excited to welcome Amanda Lawrence to our Swain family! Mrs. Lawrence is a 2001 graduate of Gordon Central and is currently working toward her degree in Education. Before joining us at Swain, she served as a substitute for Gordon County Schools and is now entering her second full year as a paraprofessional for GNETS.
She lives in Cartersville with her husband, Jerry, and their two children. Her son, Gary, is a junior at Cartersville High School, and her daughter, Elizabeth, will be joining us at WLS as a 1st grader!
When she’s not at school, Mrs. Lawrence enjoys playing the piano, reading, and watching true crime documentaries.
Please help us give Mrs. Lawrence a warm WLS welcome!

During Open House, you will be asked to complete a family and community survey. This survey is essential in helping give us insight to how you view our schools and provide valuable feedback about our school district as we start the new school year. Your input is essential in helping us assess our strengths and identify areas for improvement.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by following this link: https://eprovesurveys.advanc-ed.org/surveys/#/action/277370/p3228
Your feedback plays a vital role in our continuous improvement efforts and helps ensure that we are providing the best possible educational experience for our students. Thank you for your time and support in making Gordon County Schools the best it can be!
