Student Drop Off Guidelines by Student Age
Gordon County Schools Transportation follows Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) guidelines for child supervision when dropping off students.
Pre-K students must have a parent PRESENT at the bus stop to help guide the student outside of the danger zones of the bus.
Students 8 years and younger will not be dropped off without a parent VISIBLE from the bus stop.
Students 9 years and older may be dropped off without a parent visible.
Students 13 years or older can be resposible for the supervision of younger siblings. Younger siblings can be let off the bus with older siblings that are 13 years or older.
