Gordon County Schools is proud to celebrate and congratulate Mr. Tim Watkins, Director of Transportation, for being named the Northwest Georgia RESA Transportation Director of the Year by the Georgia Department of Education Pupil Transportation Division.

Since stepping into the role in December 2019, Mr. Watkins has brought transformative improvements to the district’s transportation department, ensuring more efficient operations and better experiences for both students and families.

Most notably, his dedication to improving communication with families has made a meaningful difference. Through proactive updates and real-time notifications, parents now receive timely information about their child’s bus schedule and estimated arrival times.
