The Board of Education for Gordon County Schools is seeking qualified and interested individuals to fill a term vacancy for our Board of Education Post 4. The term ends December 2028.

 

The Board of Education is accepting letters of interest from individuals who would like to be considered for this board position. Interested applicants should submit a letter to the Board of Education for Gordon County Schools by email, mail, or hand delivery to the address listed below:

Each letter should clearly include the applicant’s full name, home address, and contact information, along with a brief summary outlining professional background, qualifications, and reasons for wishing to serve.

Letters must be received no later than Monday, March 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Applicants must be current residents of Gordon County and meet all eligibility requirements.

 

After reviewing all submissions, the Board of Education will appoint a qualified candidate to complete the remaining term for Post 4.

The Board of Education for Gordon County Schools meets for a work session at 6:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month and a regular board meeting at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of the month. Additional work sessions and called meetings may also be scheduled as necessary.
