CALHOUN, GA - Gordon County Schools educator, Laura Wolfe, has been selected as the recipient for the 2021 Grace Ed Technologies Teacher Award.

Grace Ed Technologies (GET) accepted nominations for a teacher who goes above and beyond to provide relevant and engaging learning opportunities at the annual 2021 Georgia Association of Educational Leadership Winter Conference. Nominated by Gordon County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Kimberly Fraker, GET Owner, Brent Coleman, announced Mrs. Wolfe as the winner and presented her with a prize of $250 on Friday, February 4th.

When asked what made Mrs. Wolfe a phenomenal educator, Ashworth Middle School Principal Sket Angland expressed Mrs. Wolfe’s dedication to educating her students.

“Mrs. Wolfe works hard to build relevant and engaging lessons including labs that create a sense of ownership by the students in the learning process. She is working to encourage students in STEM fields by incorporating Spheros in her Warrior Time which helps introduce students into the 21st century skills and coding knowledge,” said Angland. “Beyond this she was named the 2020-21Teacher of the Year for Gordon County Schools and seeks every day to impact the lives of our students."
