Several of the Library Advisory students attended the TOME Literary Conference that was held on Tuesday at the University of North Georgia Gainesville Campus. We would like to congratulate Keean Sexton and Madison Zufelt for placing third in their literary competitions. Keean competed in the Character to Author letter, and Madison competed in the IT List - Like, Try Why Social Media Graphic. The students enjoyed breakout sessions with authors and a keynote address by author, Alan Gratz.
Parents and guardians:
Gordon Central High School's Digital Learning Day is Friday, March 18th. While students will not be in the building on that day, they will have access to their schoolwork online to catch up on assignments, remediate as needed, and be provided extension or enrichment through online activities.
Teachers and staff will be in the building prepared to virtually help students as needed. No student's grade will be negatively impacted by the activities assigned for Friday, but we expect all students to participate in the Digital Learning Day to improve their grades and standards mastery as we approach the end of the semester.
We would like to thank our community for its continued support and efforts in developing a culture of learning and success at Gordon Central High School.
