If you have not yet completed the 2027-2028 School Calendar Survey, please take a few moments to share your preference between Option 1 and Option 2. The primary difference between the two proposed calendars is the timing of Fall Break.
The survey also includes an optional section about school and district communications. These questions will help us better understand how you receive information, which communication tools you prefer, and whether there is interest in exploring a more centralized approach to communication.
The communications portion is completely optional and is not required in order to submit your calendar selection.
The survey closes September 1. Please submit your response using this link: https://forms.gle/wM3v9A7N4SfNDoRg6
Thank you for taking a few moments to provide your feedback!

There will be a parent meeting, Tuesday, August 25th in the RBMS cafeteria at 6:30pm for students who are interested in going on the 8th grade Georgia Tour in the Spring. This meeting will cover costs, expectations, and scholarship opportunities for the trip as well as preview the places that will be visited. 8th grade students received information about the GA Tour in their Social Studies classes this week. If you have any questions, you can email your student's Social Studies teacher.

For Thursday, August 13: Due to wet field conditions, today's softball game has
been cancelled. SB players will still practice after school.
Due to the home football game, the gate at the car
rider / athletic fields entrance will be closed at 3:45. If
you arrive to pick up a car rider after 3:45, please enter
campus through the Floyd Rd entrance.
Due to the home football game, all visitors attending the
volleyball match and/or the academic team match will
need to enter through the Floyd Rd entrance as well. The
academic team match will take place in the media
center.

As a warmup, students were asked to think about why social studies is important. They shared ideas about the value of understanding history, knowing where you are in the world, and learning from the past.
It was a great way to begin the year by helping students connect what they learn in Georgia history to the world around them and their own lives.

Mrs. Ridling’s physical science class worked together on a hands on project to see which group could build the tallest marshmallow structure. Students had a great time collaborating, problem solving, and racing one another as they tested their designs.
We also want to thank our school resource officers for all they do to help care for our school, students, and staff each day. Their presence, support, and dedication make a meaningful difference in our school community.

The school year kickoff began last week with an evening of fellowship for faculty, staff, and their families. Everyone enjoyed homemade ice cream, laughter, and meaningful conversations while reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new members of the Red Bud Middle family.
These moments of connection help build the strong relationships that support a successful school year. We are excited to see how our faculty, staff, and students will grow, connect, and succeed together this year!

The performance required months of preparation, precision, teamwork, and dedication as riders and horses worked together through a carefully choreographed routine. Wearing a colorful Barbie-inspired costume, Lily brought her own creative style to the demonstration and proudly represented Red Bud Middle School on a national stage.
