Summer enrollment is open for Gordon County Schools beginning June 16th through July 17th.
If you plan to enroll your child at Ashworth Middle, Belwood Elementary, Gordon Central High, Swain Elementary, or Tolbert Elementary, please visit the front office at Gordon Central High School to enroll (335 Warrior Path, Calhoun, GA 30701).
If you plan to enroll your child at Fairmount Elementary, Red Bud Elementary, Red Bud Middle, Sonoraville Elementary, or Sonoraville High, please visit the front office at Sonoraville High School to enroll (7340 Fairmount Hwy SE, Calhoun, GA 30701).
Office hours for enrollment are Monday through Thursday, Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration times are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 30th through July 2nd. Registration is closed July 3rd and 4th. After July 17th, families will need to submit paperwork at the school where they would like to enroll their child.

Let's give a big congratulations to Judy Craig, Sonoraville High School graduation coach! Judy has been an educator for 29 years, serving 27 years in Gordon County. She works closely with students and families to help students graduate with a plan after high school.

CCMA stands for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. This is a 4th level healthcare class offered to our seniors and juniors who have completed the previous 3 levels. With this certification it allows these students to work in the Healthcare field straight out of high school in a variety of different medical offices.


Our SHS golf team will be heading to Columbus this weekend!

It begins with the Chorus A Cappella concert featuring SHS Choral students AND Alumni from previous years! It begins at 6:00 pm in the upstairs Commons Area.
Immediately following, you will move into the Media Center and be able to view some of the amazing works of art created by the Visual Arts and Pottery classes on display.
In addition, the Music Tech class will be featuring their original compositions, and you will be able to hear their music and see their process of writing music!
Please come out and support the Fine Arts programs of SHS—it will be an evening well spent!

A sweet surprise for Teacher Appreciation Week!
SHS teachers and staff were treated to a delicious Tres Leches cake today, courtesy of the Gordon County Sheriff's Department. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!


Sonoraville High School ECE teacher Mrs. Lori Holland and three students from Gordon County Schools attended the Georgia Department of Education’s first-ever Teach in the Peach Statewide Educator Signing Day at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
Modeled after athletic signing days, the event honored high school seniors, college students, and adults who are committed to pursue careers in the teaching profession. More than 300 future educators from 48 Georgia school districts attended the event.
Congratulations to Jayme Morgan (GCHS), Campbell Pass (SHS), and Maddie Swancy (SHS) for making a commitment to improve the quality of education for Georgia’s students!
