EOC Testing Reminders:

If your student begins a testing session and leaves campus before completing it (e.g., for an appointment, illness, etc.), they may not be allowed to return to that testing session. Please do not schedule appointments on test days. The office cannot interrupt a testing session, once started, to call students.

Students, please make sure you have iPads charged and ready for test days.
Remember, the EOC is 20% of your grade!

Thank you to Erlanger’s Life Force Air Medical team and AdventHealth for bringing such an incredible learning experience to Sonoraville High School. The Life Force helicopter landed at The Furnace, giving students a firsthand look at emergency medical services in action.

Healthcare pathway students had the opportunity to meet and speak with real heroes who risk their lives every day to save others. This experience offered valuable insight and inspiration for students who may one day pursue careers in healthcare and emergency response.

We are grateful for this extraordinary partnership and the chance to provide our students with such a meaningful and memorable experience.

Congratulations to Ethan Lane Smith. He is the recipient of the 2025 H. Burl Scoggins Memorial Scholarship. One winner is chosen from the following counties: Whitfield, Gordon, Murray, or Catoosa County. The scholarship is a memorial to the late H. Burl Scoggins, one of the organizers of the Fair. The scholarship was awarded based on grades, school and community activities, awards and recognitions received, financial need and a written statement of why the applicant would like to receive the scholarship. The North Georgia Fair will present a $1000 scholarship to Ethan.

Congratulations! We are so proud of you.

Sonoraville High School held a Veterans Day Parade to honor and celebrate those who have served or currently serve in the United States military. Students from SHS and Sonoraville Elementary came outside to cheer on our veterans. The parade featured the Sonoraville High School Marching Band, JROTC, and Gordon County first responders, creating a lively show of appreciation for the community’s veterans.

A special thank you to Board of Education Vice-Chairperson Bobby Hall for leading the procession and to everyone who participated in showing appreciation for our veterans.
