Good luck to third, fourth, and fifth grade students as they begin taking the Georgia Milestones this week! We would like to remind all students to be on time as we have to limit hallway traffic after testing begins.
TIPS TO HELP PREPARE & ENABLE YOUR STUDENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL ON TESTING DAYS!
* Get a good night’s sleep before each testing day.
Try to avoid late sports practices or games, late-night TV, and late-night electronics.
When students are rested they are able to concentrate and do their best on the test.
* Eat a light, nutritious breakfast each morning before testing.
Food is the fuel that powers the body and the brain.
Fruits, carbohydrates (such as bread), and proteins (such as eggs) work best to give students testing energy.
* Be in school each day and on time.
Schedule any doctor or dentist appointments outside of the testing schedule.

Tolbert Elementary School will host in-person Academic Honors/ Awards Ceremonies the week of May 23, 2022. We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of our students with parents and guardians.

All parents, families, school staff, students and community members! We need your input to plan for 2022-2023 school year.

SPRING PICTURES - MARCH 30, 2022

March 14, 2022
Dear Gordon County Schools Families,
Gordon County elementary schools will begin spring assessments the week of April 11, 2022. To ensure that iPads are available, updated to the latest iOS version, and charged for testing, all elementary students will turn in their iPads by Monday, March 28, 2022. Once returned, iPads will remain in classrooms for the duration of the school year, and students will continue to use their iPads while at school.
Students must return their iPads with all accessories, including all of the following:
iPad
iPad Case
Charging Block
Cable
If the iPad charger and/or sync cable has been lost, a replacement charger and cable must be purchased. Charging blocks must be at least a 10w block, and the cable must be at least 3 feet long and not constructed of a metal exterior. Replacements can also be purchased through the child’s school. The cost for a replacement cable is $3.00 and $8.00 for the charging block.
Should you have questions concerning this process, please contact your child’s school.
