Mrs. Moon is excited to join the Tolbert family as a kindergarten teacher. A proud graduate of Gordon County Schools, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and her MBA from Truett McConnell University, where she was also a member of the women’s golf team.
She brings three years of teaching experience—two years at Red Bud Elementary in Gordon County and one year in Gwinnett County. Mrs. Moon is passionate about creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and being outdoors. She is looking forward to a successful and rewarding school year at TES.

Mrs. Slone is excited to join the Tolbert family as an ESS Paraprofessional. She comes to us from Sonoraville Elementary, where she previously served in the same role. Before becoming a paraprofessional, she worked as a dedicated substitute teacher for two years, gaining valuable experience in the classroom.
Outside of school, Mrs. Slone enjoys time with her husband, Bobby. They’ve been together for 11 years and share three wonderful children—Aubree, Brody, and Bryleigh—as well as a dog and a cat.
Mrs. Slone is looking forward to building connections with both students and staff and is eager to contribute to a supportive and engaging learning environment at TES.

Summer Feeding for 2025 starts on June 2 and continues through July 24. Families can pick up meals Monday - Thursday from 11 AM - 1 PM at Tolbert Elementary School or Sonoraville High School. You can also relax at home, listen for the honking horns and watch for our Gordon County school buses or white vans with the Gordon County Schools logo -- they will deliver meals to neighborhoods all over Gordon County. 2025-2026 - GCS Academic Calendar

The last day of school is Friday, May 23rd and it will be an early release day. Please make any necessary arrangements for pickup and transportation. As we wrap up another school year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your support, dedication, and hard work have made this year a success. We have grown together, overcome challenges, and created lasting memories. Congratulations to the C.H.A.M.P.S. 5th grade graduates at Tolbert Elementary! The C.H.A.M.P.S. (Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety) program in Gordon County Schools is a partnership between the Gordon County Sheriff's Department and our elementary schools, serving to help empower our youth with valuable life skills and knowledge to make informed choices and contribute positively to their communities. Lieutenant Brian Brannon congratulated these 5th graders who participated in the program. Thank you Lt. Brannon and the GCSD for educating and empowering our students and community through our law enforcement partnerships.
