Tolbert Elementary’s 3rd graders were sorted into their respective Houses today in a big celebration of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students! The Ron Clark Academy House System is designed to cultivate a positive and supportive school environment that recognizes and celebrates students’ efforts and attitudes.
Students celebrated and cheered on their new House members as 3rd grade students slid down and drew which House they would be in. The four Houses are Altruismo, Amistad, Isibindi, and Reveur. Altruismo stands for helping others, Amistad for friendship, Isibindi for courage, and Reveur for dreaming big.
Through a point system that rewards the great things Tolbert students accomplish in class, the RCA House System program encourages character development, academic excellence, school spirit, and a strong sense of belonging for everyone.
Each House reflects unique qualities and traits that embrace the development of the whole child. While students in each House celebrate their specific values, the ultimate goal is for all students to be well-rounded and embody every category. Students practiced their new House chant together at the end of the event and are ready to officially start the 2025-2026 school year.

Gordon County Schools is excited to welcome students, families, and staff back for the first day of school on Friday, August 8, 2025!
