Registration is now open for the Gordon County Schools After School Program!

Available at all Gordon County elementary schools, the After School Program (ASP) provides students in Pre-K through 5th grade with a safe and caring environment from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. each school day. Students can enjoy study time, recreational activities, arts and crafts, enrichment opportunities, and a daily snack.

We highly encourage families to register before the first day of school. You can do this through the Eleyo online registration system at gcbe.ce.eleyo.com. The annual registration fee is $25 per family. Daily attendance is $10 for the first child and $8 for each additional child.

ASP staff will be located at each elementary school during our Open House dates. To learn more about the program, visit our website at https://www.gcbe.org/page/after-school-program-asp.

Register today and give your child a place to grow, connect, and succeed beyond the school day!

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Caitlin Chamblee, another one of our new 1st Grade teachers! Ms. Chamblee is beginning her 2nd year of teaching and is a graduate of Dalton State College. A proud 2019 Sonoraville High School graduate and Gordon County Schools alumna, she’s excited to be back home serving the community that helped shape her. When she’s not teaching, she loves traveling, baking, spending time with her dog Loey and cat Bando, and attending concerts—she’s seen over 50 artists perform in the past few years! Ms. Chamblee shares, “My favorite part of teaching is watching those ‘lightbulb moments’ when learning finally clicks. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students grow in confidence and celebrate their successes!” She is excited to partner with families to create a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom where every student can learn, grow, and thrive. We’re so happy to have Ms. Chamblee at WLS!

Please help us give a warm WLS welcome to Mrs. Tina Bunch, one of our new 1st Grade teachers! Originally from Arkansas, Mrs. Bunch recently celebrated her first year of marriage and made the move to Georgia. She earned her degree from Henderson State University and is beginning her 4th year of teaching. When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll find her hiking, exploring antique shops, or enjoying one of her favorite hobbies—singing! Mrs. Bunch’s favorite part of teaching is: “Helping shape minds and make a connection that will last a lifetime.” ❤️ We’re so excited to have Mrs. Bunch as part of the WLS family. Welcome!
