sonoraville elementary awarded tva grant

Gordon County, GA – Gordon County Schools is proud to announce that Sonoraville Elementary has been selected as a recipient of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) grant from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The grant, part of a program that supports STEM learning initiatives in classrooms and schools within TVA's seven-state service area, is made possible through a collaboration between TVA and the TVA retiree organization Bicentennial Volunteers Inc. 

The grant funds will play a crucial role in expanding the robotics program at Sonoraville Elementary, empowering more students to engage in STEM education opportunities. The initiative aligns with TVA's commitment to fostering innovation and education in the communities it serves.

The STEM grant program, sponsored by TVA and administered in partnership with Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., aims to strengthen educational opportunities and inspire the next generation of innovators.
