Congratulations to Lynsey Edge, a junior at Gordon Central High School, for winning the State Young Georgia Authors award for her grade level. Lynsey was a region winner last year as well, and this is her first time being selected as the state winner.
She was surprised with the news this morning by Assistant Superintendent Sket Angland and Director of Early Learning and Elementary Education Beth Herod. Lynsey will be recognized at the May Board of Education meeting.
Congratulations to Lynsey on her creative writing and being recognized for her outstanding talents.
