AMS Weekly Events: 2/9 to 2/14

Last night in very, very cold and damp conditions, the Ashworth Middle School Girls Soccer Team hosted Pepperell at Ratner Stadium. A goal by Gabby Mountjoy put the Warriors ahead 1-0 to start the game. Pepperell tied it up in the first half. In the second half, Gabby scored again to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead. However, Pepperell made it two a piece, so regulation ended in a tie. After ten extra minutes with no additional scores, the game went to penalty kicks and Pepperell ended up with the win. Maylynn Ramirez had three stops in goal for the Warriors and Gabby Mountjoy had one stop in goal during the penalty kick-off. Great effort to start the season!
