Ashworth held the annual school spelling bee on Tuesday, December 10th. Congratulations to the winner, Liam Oakes (6th grade), and the runner-up, Andrew Vicente (8th grade). Liam won by correctly spelling the word “catapults” in the ninth round of the competition. Liam will represent AMS at the district-level spelling bee on January 24, 2025.
Twenty-four students from all grade levels participated in the competition, demonstrating some impressive spelling skills. All participants are to be commended for their effort and achievement in representing their grade level.
