By participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and eliminating the need for meal applications, Gordon County Schools will reduce administrative and printing costs. Families also benefit from the elimination of completing and submitting meal applications.
Children need healthy meals to learn. Gordon County Schools offers healthy meals every school day at no charge to your child(ren). Our food service receives support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
The following schools will be participating in this alternative provision and provide meals at no charge to children during School Year 2025-2026:
All Gordon County Schools: Ashworth Middle, Belwood Elementary, Fairmount Elementary, Gordon Central High, Red Bud Elementary, Red Bud Middle, Sonoraville Elementary, Sonoraville High, Tolbert Elementary and WL Swain Elementary

Ms. Eskine will be joining our 5th grade team. She just relocated to Gordon County and will be starting her sixth year in the classroom. Ms. Eskine has taught 1st and 3rd grade and is looking forward to teaching 5th grade this year. She graduated from the University of South Florida. Some of Ms. Eskine’s favorite things to do in her free time include spending time with family and friends, going to coffee shops, and working around her farm.

Mrs. Bramlett is coming back to Belwood to teach 2nd grade. She is a Sonoraville High School graduate. Mrs. Bramlett earned her teaching degree from Dalton State University. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Conner, and their two little boys, Aiden and Noah, reading, and baking.

Ms. Henderson will be teaching second grade at BES. This is her 4th year in the classroom. She is a graduate of Calhoun High School and perused a degree in Sports Management from the University of West Georgia where she played college softball. Ms. Henderson earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. Her hobbies include coaching, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
