Preschool Play and Learn (PALs) End of Year Program!

Belwood Elementary Pre-K Completion Ceremony was hosted yesterday, celebrating the accomplishments of its pre-kindergarten students. Proud families, teachers, and staff came together to recognize the children's growth and readiness for kindergarten. The ceremony included lively performances, smiles, and completion certificates for each student when they returned to their classrooms. It was a heartwarming event that marked the end of a successful year and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the students' educational journey.

Second grade Awards Part 2.

Belwood Elementary School is proud to announce its annual Second Grade Awards Ceremony, recognizing the hard work and accomplishments of its second graders. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 21st at Belwood. The event featured a variety of awards, including Completion Awards, Young Georgia Author's Award, Star Student Awards, Principal's Awards, and Special Area Awards. "We are proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them continue to thrive in the upcoming years," said Principal Monica Holt. Congratulations CLASS OF 2035!!

Kindergarten Awards part 2

🎉🎓 Our Kindergarten End of Year Awards Program was a sweet celebration of a year filled with growth, learning, and joy!🎉🎓 We are so proud of our little learners, who were recognized for their hard work and accomplishments. A special highlight of the program was their adorable performance. They sang their hearts out and melted ours! 🎶❤️ Students were recognized with Certificates of Completion, Perfect Attendance, Star Student, Awards from Specials teachers, Exact Path highest score and highest growth in Reading and Math, and the esteemed Principal's Award! Thank you to our amazing kindergarten teachers and families for making this a memorable day. We can’t wait to see what these rising first graders will do next! 🌞🌞🌞 Summer Feeding is starting SOON! Look for Gordon County School buses or vans in your neighborhood (listen for the horns!), or come to Tolbert Elementary or Sonoraville High School to pick up meals. We will serve breakfasts and lunches Monday through Thursday from 11am - 1pm. Note: Meal service will be identical to last year, same meal service, same routes, same times!! Gordon County Sheriff's Office proudly hosted the CHAMPS graduation ceremony at Belwood Elementary School today, celebrating the dedication and perseverance of our students over the past year. CHAMPS, which stands for Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety, equips students with essential life skills and knowledge to make informed, responsible decisions. Throughout the program, students engaged in discussions on critical topics such as bullying, alcohol awareness, home-alone safety, child abduction prevention, and internet safety. Their commitment to learning and personal growth was truly commendable. To recognize outstanding participation and achievement, top-performing students were honored with awards for their exceptional engagement in the program. So much is happening at Belwood, and it's ALL GOOD stuff! Mrs. Holt and Mr. Fox "took one for the team" when they agreed to get water ballooned if students met their fund raising goal! Here are a few snaps of the pain and suffering they endured! The kids had a ball, or should we say, a balloon 😂😂

April Character students were recognized May 8th with a special breakfast provided by our local Chick-fil-a restaurant. CFA Calhoun also provides the curriculum Core Essentials, which we use to promote core values in our students. Core values are personal ethics or ideals that guide us when making decisions, building relationships and solving problems. The core value for April was HOPE. Hope means believing that something good can come out of something bad.
