Attention 5th Grade Parents: The deadline to order a yearbook dedication for your graduating 5th grader is Wednesday, March 27th! Ad Pricing: 1/4 page- $25 Directions: -Email 3 pictures and message to dbateman@gcbe.org The subject line should say dedication, first initial of student's first name and the student's last name (Ex: Dedication, D. Bateman) -Send cash or check in a marked envelope to BES (YB Dedication & Student's Name) in your student's folder.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION FORMS DUE MONDAY, MARCH 18TH. We have an opportunity to provide our families with a food distribution for those in need. The forms for the families to complete in order to provide us with the number of boxes have been sent home with every student the past few days. The due date for the form is March 18th. Questions #1 and #2 are marked N/A because that is not needed to qualify. Families just need to mark any that apply on question #3 to qualify. Information will be released about the time, date and pick up location for the food distribution as soon as we are made aware. Please reach out to the school if you need another copy of the form.

Gordon County Schools is on an early release schedule Wednesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 14th for Parent Conferences. We hope families were able to schedule time to meet with teachers to discuss your child's progress this year. If not, you are encouraged to stay in contact with your school and connect with teachers to find time to discuss academic achievement and future goals. Friday, March 15th is an At-Home Learning Day. We hope that your child or children are able to explore learning opportunities that day and catch up on assignments, projects, and materials as we approach End-of-Course and End-of-Grade Milestones testing.

2023-20245th Grade Yearbook Dedications On Sale Now! Check or Cash: Pay at the BES Front Desk or send an envelope in your child’s folder. List your student’s full name and YB Dedication on the envelope. Cost: $25.00. Includes a ¼ page space, up to 3 pictures and a special message from the family (message not to exceed 50 words). We’re 3 weeks away from kicking off our BES Glow Run fundraiser. Our school community can look forward to a boost of fun & funds with an all-inclusive program that comes with engaging character development lessons. Belwood's Fun run is coming next month! We can't wait!

Mr. Kaycen Perry was Caught Being Good the other day when he found something valuable that didn't belong to him and turned it into the front office. Belwood recognizes that integrity is a Core Value for life and we are proud of Kaycen! Nice job young man:)

Student Led Conferences will be held next week at Belwood Elementary. You should have had communication from your child's teacher about signing up to come in! We would love to have 100% participation so please join us! Belwood is excited that students are getting to talk about their own learning and we hope you will be too!

Belwood LOVES recognizing students who are Caught Being Good! Most often these students exhibit positive qualities on a daly basis, and we are proud to be able to encourage this type of behavior! Kolman Fowler was Caught Being Good recently when someone noticed he was spending his recess time picking up trash on the playground! Way to Go Kolman!!

Belwood Elementary recognized their February Character students this morning by honoring them with a breakfast provided by our local Chick-Fil-A. The word for the month was Kindness - showing others they are valuable by how you treat them. Students are selected by their teachers for displaying kindness not just in February, but all year long! In honor of National School Breakfast Week, Belwood had special visitors this morning! These amazing people are modern day Ninja's who can rescue cuddly kittens stuck in trees, put out blazing fires and serve breakfast to hundreds of hungry elementary age students (not for the faint of heart)! We appreciate them taking time out of their busy day to lend a hand:)
