Fairmount Elementary Families - Your Voice Matters!

Our School Climate Survey is now open, and we need YOUR input! The survey helps us understand how students, staff, and families feel about safety, communication, academics, and overall school culture.

We use this information to shape goals, improve programs, strengthen relationships, and make Fairmount Elementary School an even better place for our students to learn and grow.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey - your feedback drives positive change at FES!

Thank you so much,
Mrs. Rebecca Champion

Fairmount Elementary kindergarten teacher Stacy Grantham had her students engaged in a phonics lesson today, focusing on how to sound out and spell words as they write. These foundational skills help students understand sound patterns, which play a key role in learning to spell correctly. It was a great example of early literacy instruction in action.

Thank you to the Fairmount Elementary school nutrition staff for everything they do and for the delicious Thanksgiving lunch they served today to staff, students, and visitors. Nutrition Director Nicole Head also joined the team to help cook and serve, and we truly appreciate the hard work and care these ladies put into every meal.

W. L. Swain Elementary will serve its Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday, November 20!

We are so proud of third grader Brilee Goodman for being this year's winner of the Red Ribbon Week poster contest. She was given a puzzle of her poster at a reception last week at the Harris Arts Center with the other winners from Gordon County and Calhoun City Schools.

This year's theme is "Life is a Puzzle Solve It Drug Free". Brilee's poster featured a jigsaw puzzle of hope, family, and things to focus on besides choosing drugs and other substances.

We are so proud of this Bulldog and her talents! Have a great Red Ribbon Week!

Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free!

Fairmount Parents,
Students will be allowed to wear their costumes to school on Thursday, October 30th. Your child’s safety
is always our first concern here at Fairmount. We ask that you guide their selection of costumes to allow
them to comfortably work and learn throughout the day, as well as be able to independently use the
restroom. Any items that encourage violence or could be scary to other children are inappropriate for
children at school. All accessories to costumes should be left at home. We are not responsible for lost or
damaged items. Students are not allowed to wear full-faced masks. Classes will enjoy a snack and craft
during the school day. This is for the students only. Thank you for your cooperation in making this a fun
and safe day at school. We are looking forward to an enjoyable day!
