We would like to welcome Mr. Jacob Chastain to the Bulldog Family. Mr. Chastain will be teaching kindergarten and has a B. A. in History from Dalton State College. Mr. Chastain and his wife, Madeline, have a 2 year old golden retriever named Rocky. He loves spending time with his family, hiking, trout fishing, and playing guitar. Mr. Chastain is excited to join the Bulldog Family!
We would like to welcome Mrs. Holly Young to the Bulldog Family. Mrs. Young is our data clerk, and she has a Business Administration degree. Mrs. Young and her husband, Cody, have two children-Carson and Reese. Reese attends FES and Carson attended FES during his elementary years. Mrs. Young has been a member of the Fairmount community for 10 years and has served on the FES School Governance Team for 2 years. She enjoys watching her children play sports, attending church, and time with her family. Mrs. Young is excited to continue with her Bulldog family, not just as a parent, but as a staff member also!

Gordon County Schools is introducing My Ride K-12, a parent communication app, to its transportation operations. My Ride K-12 will be integrated with our transportation software for families to access estimated times of arrival or departure for buses.
My Ride K-12 is designed so you can access your student’s bus schedules efficiently. GPS technology on the bus works with the district’s software to automatically calculate the timing of a bus route to give you the most accurate ETAs with real-time updates and route changes.
My Ride K-12 is now available for you to download on your Apple or Android mobile device. Our flyer provides step-by-step registration instructions, and you can access the app to download in a variety of ways. Scan the QR code on the flyer, follow the hyperlinks below, or search your app store for “My Ride K-12” to download and register your family on the app. Student bus route information will be available August 2nd on My Ride K-12.

We would like to welcome Moss Fountain to our Bulldog Family. Mr. Fountain will be teaching 5th grade and has a Bachelor’s Degree from Reinhardt University and a Master’s Degree from Piedmont University. Mr. Fountain and his wife, Darlene, have a daughter named Rebekah.
Interesting tidbits about Mr. Fountain:
• He is a direct descendant of a Revolutionary War solider.
• He has met a US President and three Georgia Governors.
• He has had two Resolutions passed in the Georgia General Assembly.
Mr. Fountain loves history and is excited to be a Bulldog!

Gordon County Schools Summer Enrollment Information:
Please review the flyer to know where to go for summer enrollment at Gordon County Schools. Enrollment opens June 18th and ends July 11th. Visit the feeder school's registration location Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Prior to arriving, please visit https://gordoncountyschoolsga.sites.thrillshare.com/page/student-enrollment to access, print, and fill out the registration packet in its entirety. Packets are available at each location if you are unable to pre-register.
