FES would like to say a big THANK YOU to our school board members. We appreciate everything you do for our students, staff, and school!

Don't forget to spring forward!

Congratulations to the 2023-2024 Fairmount Elementary School Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Taylor Ballew.
Here are a few examples of why she is Teacher of the Year.
"Taylor works very hard to support academics in her classes. She truly loves her kids and will support them at school and at other events in the community. She works hard as a cheerleading coach and gives those girls her full support on and off the competition mat. "
"Mrs. Ballew has deserved to win TOTY every year that I've known her. She went above and beyond in the ELA classroom and has blossomed into a true school leader in her PE role. She purposefully and intentionally finds activities to help our students become better readers, mathematicians, and all around students. She gives everything 110% and our school is better for it. There is not a single person within the halls of our school that does not love her. FES would be lucky to be represented by Taylor as Teacher of the Year."
"Mrs. Ballew has done an amazing job since becoming the physical education teacher. She collaborates with other teachers to find ways to incorporate what the students are learning into her PE lessons. She is one of the first ones to volunteer when we have school wide activities. She is an integral part of our homecoming float, fall festival, and field day. Not only does Mrs. Ballew go the extra mile at our school, she is also a cheerleading coach. Mrs. Ballew is a great example for her peers and students to emulate. "

Surf's up National School Breakfast Week!
It was a bodacios wave that these two rode in on to serve breakfast to our Bulldogs today! Thank you to BOE members and Fairmount Alumni, Christie Fox and Jason Hendrix!

Congratulations to Pre-K teacher Renae Petty for winning our February attendance gift card! Every month we have a drawing for a gift card for faculty and staff that have not missed a day for that month. Also, we would like to thank Lee Holman of the Horace Mann Agency for continuing to support FES by donating the gift cards for our staff.

PJ Day is always fun!

Tomorrow is our final day at book fair. We will be shutting down at 12:30. If your child has not shopped this is their last chance to do so. Don't forget you can also access the eWallet for non cash payments.

Parents,
If you are joining us this afternoon for book fair, please use the gravel parking lot next to the office to avoid congestion during dismissal. Remember to also check in at the front office.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Join us and enjoy!
