Monday, May 4 - Senior Citizen Day - Dress like a senior citizen - think gray hair, glasses, cardigans and canes!
Tuesday, May 5 - Commitment & Career Day - Wear gear that represents your post-graduation plans - college, military or workforce - while also dressing for the career you hope to have one day.
Weds. May 6, Anything But a Backpack Day - Bring your school supplies in anything EXCEPT a backpack - get creative! No live animals. Nothing motorized. Nothing that will scratch the floor

AVTF SkillsUSA students from Gordon Central had an incredible SkillsUSA Day today with the Atlanta Braves! ⚾️ Students learned from a panel of professionals across the Braves organization and wrapped up the day cheering on the Braves in their matchup against the Detroit Tigers. Go Braves!

Gordon Central High School proudly recognized twelve outstanding seniors today during this year’s Georgia Future Educators Signing Day ceremony! This special event celebrates students who have committed to pursuing careers in education and making a lasting impact on future generations.

Honored this year were Keira Bryson, Sanija Curry-Primes, Aidan Fleming, Braelyn Jones, Toccoa Long, Sky McClure, Alberto Garcia Melchor, Nora Murphy, Susan Palma, Anna Caroline Parker, Jayden Ray, and Gracie Tidwell.

GCHS alumna and healthcare teacher Mrs. Amber Lee, along with Assistant Superintendent Sket Angland, shared meaningful words with students in front of their families, friends, and college representatives. They spoke about the joy of teaching and encouraged these future educators to return to Gordon County after graduation to inspire the next generation.

Congratulations to each of these students for choosing a path that will shape the future. We are proud of you and look forward to the difference you will make in the world of education!

Due to the forecasted rain and out of concern for the safety and enjoyment of all participants and attendees, we felt it was best to reschedule the event.
