Gordon Central High School and Ashworth Middle School came outside this morning to see off the football team as GC heads to Dublin for tonight's game. This is the first Gordon Central playoff game in 12 years! Good luck and Go Warriors! #TogetherGCS
Several members of SGA (student government) participated in a Better Than Good conference in Dallas, GA. Students listened to guest speakers, participated in a variety of team building activities, and saw many examples of how to improve a school’s climate and culture from schools all around the United States. There was lots a good music, dancing, fun, and laughter. The students had a great time and look forward to bringing these ideas back to GCHS. #Together GCHS
On Wednesday, Gordon Central High School honored veterans with a traditional thanksgiving meal during lunch hosted by JROTC cadets. Thank you to all who participated and all who have served our country. We are truly grateful for our veterans!

Students, if you’re traveling to the game, you’ll have an excused absence for 4th block with a 1:50 PM check-out. IMPORTANT: You will need to follow regular check-out procedures through the Front Office by using the normal protocol of a note or a parent check-out in the Front Office with Mrs. Patterson. Please check in with Dr. Parker or Mrs. Massengill when you arrive in Dublin to confirm your early dismissal. Let’s show up big for our team!

The HOSA Thanksgiving Food Drive starts November 11th and runs through Nov. 22nd. The drop-off location is in Ms. Lee's Healthcare room. All donations stay local. Make sure to look at the second slide for suggested items to donate. Thank you for your support!
Don't forget about getting your submission in for the Young Georgia Author's Competition. The due date for submissions is December 20, 2024. Our wonderful cafeteria staff will once again cook up a traditional Thanksgiving meal this Wednesday, Nov. 13! We hope all of our students and staff will join us for 🍗 turkey & dressing, 🥔 mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, 🍠 sweet potato casserole, and a warm apple crisp for dessert. If you're not partial to turkey, there will be sliced ham, too!
We will also be honoring our Veterans on Wednesday, Nov. 13th. We kindly request that you RSVP by the end of the day (11/11/24) if you plan to attend on Wednesday.
This weekend, several members of SGA (student government) participated in a campus clean-up day here at GCHS. Students picked up trash around the front and back of the school as well as near the tennis courts, field house, track/stadium, and softball/baseball fields. Thank you to these students for helping keep our campus clean! #TOGETHERGCHS

Remember that this is a competition by grade level to see which class can bring in the most cans. The winning class will receive ice cream. AP Exam fee balances are due by Thursday, Nov. 7th. Also, students can still order an AP exam for a Fall Semester, Year-Long class or Exam Only option by paying in full by 11/7. Payments can be made in the Media Center with cash or a check made payable to GCHS or online through the web store by selecting "Student Fees" from the Gordon Central page on the website.
