Students in Ms. Mixon's Examining Teaching Profession and Early Childhood Education 2 classes made a visual of the characteristics of an effective teacher. The students enjoyed working on this project and even chose a couple of their favorite teachers at GCHS to characterize.
AP Exam Information...
If you are planning on taking an exam for a Year-Long or Fall Semester AP® class, exam deposits of $40 per exam are due by Thursday, October 6, 2022. Final exam fee balances are due by Thursday, November 3, 2022.
Payments can be made with cash, check, or on the online web store. If paying by check, please make the check payable to GCHS or Gordon Central High School. Meadowdale Baptist Church's prayer team recently wrote notes of encouragement and prayers for the GCHS students, faculty, and staff. They placed these notes in a "Prayer Preserves" jar to distribute to teachers. GCHS appreciates all of the support we receive from organizations in our community.

If you are a parent of a child taking an AP® (Advanced Placement) class this year and you would like to find out more about AP® exams, we will have a parent and student meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4th at 6:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. We will discuss exam fees, fee reductions and waivers, and other questions you may have regarding these courses and exams.
Starting Monday, October 3, tutoring/study hall will be offered to students who need extra help with assignments or time to catch up on missing work. Teachers will be available to assist students in Lab 305, 7:45 - 8:25 am and 3:30 - 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

GCHS FFA team members Peyton Schwartz (9th grade) and Belle Watkins (9th grade) competed yesterday afternoon at Cass High School at the Area 1 Floral Design Competition. Peyton Schwartz placed 14th overall at senior level and Belle Watkins placed 11th overall at the junior level. They had a great time yesterday and excited to compete again next year. Go Warriors!
