Gordon Central will celebrate HOCO Week Sept. 22–27 with a Las Vegas theme leading up to Friday night’s big game vs. Fannin County (Sept. 26) and the Homecoming Dance at GCHS on Sept. 27.

How to Apply:
Create a Video: Submit a short video introducing yourself. In your video, please include:
Your Name: Tell us who you are.
Feeder School: Mention which feeder school you attend (TES, BES, or WLS).
Warrior Spirit: Share your favorite hobbies and what you love about being a Warrior.
Video Length: Please keep your video under 2 minutes.
Submission Deadline: All videos must be submitted by Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Where to Submit:
Upload your video to YouTube.
Set the video to “Unlisted” (this ensures only those with the link can view it).

• AP Scholar achievements are categorized into different levels of recognition:
• AP Scholar: Awarded to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
• AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who achieve an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, with scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
• AP Scholar with Distinction: Conferred upon students who maintain an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, with scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
• AP International Diploma: Presented to students who exhibit exceptional achievement across various disciplines, subject to eligibility requirements.
These exemplary students have not only demonstrated academic prowess but have also exemplified the values of hard work and dedication, which will undoubtedly serve them well in their future endeavors.

On Wednesday, August 20, the HOSA Club hosted a Coffee and Donuts Social to welcome interested students and share more about what HOSA is all about! 💙🤍 Students had the opportunity to learn about the club’s mission of developing future health professionals, upcoming activities, and ways to get involved.



Students worked together in the lab to explore conditions that affect enzyme activity, then wrapped up with a Jenga review game to prepare for their upcoming unit test. 💡📚

We are currently seeking nominations and holding elections for a parent representative on our Local School Governance Team. A Local School Governance Team in each school is the method the school system uses to get the community, parents and teachers involved in decision making to maximize educational opportunities for children. The Local School Governance Team will seek to provide the best possible learning environment for the children in their community.
