We kicked off Apply to College week with Dalton State! Throughout the week we will highlight different colleges. Seniors will have the chance to meet with the school's admission counselor and apply.
In the month of November, many schools are waiving their application fees. For a complete list, use the link below:https://www.gafutures.org/college-planning/apply-to-college-initiative/application-fee-waivers/

Physics took a field trip to iFly on Tuesday 11/7. They learned about the physics and engineering behind the design of the building and how they make the wind tunnel work. Then, students each got a chance to fly in the wind tunnel with an instructor. After flying, students calculated their own personal terminal velocity (how fast they would be "falling" if they were actually sky diving). They had so much fun applying what they have learned in the classroom to the real world!

Seniors, we will host Apply to College week November 13th-17th. Each day we will highlight a local school and representatives will be in the counseling office to assist you with applying. Please take advantage of this resource. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Farmer.
