The College Board has recently honored eight exceptional students from Gordon Central High School for their outstanding achievements as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars during the 2023-24 school year. This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and academic excellence of these students and their schools.
These Warrior students earned the distinction of AP Scholar:
Keira Bryson - AP Scholar
Anna Caroline Parker - AP Scholar with Honor
Madilyn Payne - AP Scholar
Samantha Ruiz - AP Scholar
Kaiman Smith - AP Scholar with Honor (returning graduated senior)
Max Stone - AP Scholar with Distinction (returning graduated senior)
Randy Vicente - AP Scholar
Evan Wood - AP Scholar with Distinction
AP Scholar achievements are categorized into different levels of recognition:
AP Scholar: Awarded to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who achieve an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, with scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
AP Scholar with Distinction: Conferred upon students who maintain an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, with scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
AP International Diploma: Presented to students who exhibit exceptional achievement across various disciplines, subject to eligibility requirements.
These exemplary students have not only demonstrated academic prowess but have also exemplified the values of hard work and dedication, which will undoubtedly serve them well in their future endeavors.
