-Students missing school due to a medically related absence will be marked as excused. Students will be able to complete their work through Schoology or make up missed assignments
-Gordon County Schools will continue practicing mitigation measures including encouraging distancing when possible, practicing enhanced cleaning procedures of all rooms and buildings, limiting visitors, encouraging hand-washing, and making hand sanitizer available.
-A detailed outline of the Gordon County Schools phases of mitigation can be found at https://www.gcbe.org/covidprotocols.
-Gordon County Schools encourages you to follow the guidance from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and the DPH (Department of Public Health.) Happy New Year Warrior Nation!

Merry Christmas from the Warrior Nation!

All AMS Art classes have been working hard to create an AMS Winter Village for everyone to enjoy.

The JV & Varsity boys registered wins at Armuchee last night. The JV won 32-22 behind Ayden Parrish's 20 points. Jamari Millsap also played a strong game, pulling down 7 rebounds.
The Varsity won 35-30. Yabriel Borges led scoring with 13 points (including a banked-in 3!!). Trey Bryant had his best night of the year, scoring 11 and pulling down 5 boards..
The boys are off until January 4th when all boys & girls are in action at home against St. Mary's of Rome.

Hey Warriors! Make those memories last with a copy of the 2021-2022 AMS Yearbook! Yearbooks can be ordered online at YearbookOrderCenter.com, (job number 10368) until March 25, 2022. If you prefer to pay with cash or a check, make your check payable to Ash-worth Middle School.

In girls' basketball action yesterday, our JV team lost a very close game against Armuchee. We went into overtime and lost 26-25. Skylin Manis led the team with 9 points. She had help from Jocelyn Fuentes with 6, Mattie Schmitz with 4, and Brandie Taylor and Emma Bennett with 3. Our girls fought hard and have made big improvements in their game.
In varsity, we came up short 31-19. Our girls fought through a very physical game and worked hard. Baylee Chastain led with 10 and had help from Addy Hobson with 6 and Savannah Weller with 3.
