They are the BESt!
Join us in CELEBRATING the heroes behind the lunch line- THANK YOU, Belwood Lunch Heroes!
Your hard work and commitment make a difference in every student’s day! You Are Loved!

Don't forget we have an AMAZING opportunity on May 8th to learn from author Ms. Anita B. Adhikary when she visits Belwood Elementary School.
From Ms. Adhikary:
"From cherry blossoms to a dream come true!
Sometimes, life surprises us in the most amazing ways!
While catching up with an old friend in Annapolis, Maryland and chatting about my book, Y is for Yoga, a sweet stranger nearby overheard us.
She turned out to be a principal visiting from Georgia for the cherry blossom!
One thing led to another, and now I’m thrilled to say I’ll be visiting her school Belwood Elementary to share my books and love of yoga with over 500 students!"
We cannot wait!!

This past Friday, Belwood's fifth grade Leadership Team had a special treat when Mr. Ish Lewis came to present an interactive and practical lesson on public speaking.
Mr. Lewis started by telling the students that most people are actually scared of public speaking, but with Practice and Feedback, everyone has the opportunity to go from being afraid of it to being really good at it.
Mr. Lewis stated that, "Practice makes Progress" and also told the students that Feedback is always a gift!
After partner and small group speaking, students were given the opportunity to speak for one minute in front of their peers, with no prep time. The volunteers showed courage and initiative, and all students did a great job on giving and receiving feedback.
Thank you Mr. Lewis for giving up your valuable time to invest in our current and future leaders!
