More career day photos! And several more to come!

Career days offer an opportunity for students to listen, receive information, and ask questions. The activities are created to help students begin identifying areas of career interest and to increase students' comfort level in interacting with adult professionals.
Career Day often introduces students to careers they may not have imagined. Students have the chance to learn about careers that align with their interests and skills, so they can start to narrow down what careers to pursue in the future.
Students become more motivated, self-directed learners when they understand the relationship between academics, career and education planning and achieving their own career goals. Career development allows individuals to discover who they are, what they like to do and what they do best.
Mrs. Holt also pointed out that collaborating with our community stakeholders is critical. She said, "Students don’t just learn from their teachers. Community members and leaders can play a vital role in a student’s education. Career Day provides a platform where students can directly interact with members of their community. Having a diverse group of presenters allows students to see themselves represented in different career paths."
Thankful for our village today and everyday!

Well, that someone was P. T. Barnum and he came to Belwood this week to remind students that not only is it OKAY to be different, but being different is what makes them special!
