Gordon Central wants Belwood families to know that all students from their local feeder schools will get in for free with a paid adult ticket. They are hoping to have a good turn out this Friday Night!

Hello Belwood! There is still time to send in your child's SchoolStore envelope so they can receive a REALLY cool book buddy prize plus many more! You can send in through Friday, January 12th!

Hello Parents! This year Belwood is partnering with SchoolStore to raise funds to help purchase the essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed.
Here's what you need to do:
1. Your student will bring an envelope home today with information about signing up at www.schoolstore.net
2. Send emails to friends, family and co-workers inviting them to support your student.
3. Return the envelope with the student Prize Code for your child to get their awesome participation prize!
School ID: 8436
Thank you for your support!

Back to school is right around the corner!

We are thankful for local high school administrators who allow their students to come to Belwood and bless our kids!

Gordon Central High school students performed "A Charlie Brown Christmas" for 4th and 5th graders at Belwood yesterday. It was such a treat!

The Awesome and Amazing Belwood Singers blessed many today with their angelic voices. They sang at Walmart, North GA National Bank, The Fountains Retirement Home, and Shaw’s Retirement reception. If anyone took pictures please send to us or add here:)

Mr. Jose Mendoza from Ms. Albritton's class stopped by to visit Calhoun's Snowman Spectacular and sent us this awesome picture! We encourage you to do so, too!
See if you can find the special snowman that represents Belwood Elementary!
It is located at the Calhoun Recreation Department on 110 Recreation Drive, Calhoun, GA.
Our Snowman needs a name! Do you have a suggestion? Post in the comments below!

More Christmas Magic!

Belwood's 11 days of Christmas are a BIG hit! We just love having fun:)

Lots of Elf magic happening right now!

This guy! This guy right here went to the Secret Santa shop yesterday and instead of buying gifts for his family or himself, he took the money and bought gifts for some younger students who were in there at the same time as he was. Wow. They must have thought Santa got younger and lost his white beard. BIG shout out to Miguel Manuel Bail for his generous, loving, kind, patient and ginormous heart!
We should all live like Miguel!

Zoe Martin and Abigail Bledsoe were Caught Being Good recently when they decided to pick up trash on the playground without being asked to do so. What if more people did this? The world would certainly be a better place!
Congratulations girls for being Rock Star leaders at Belwood!

Detective Fox and Corporal Pullen from Gordon County Sheriff's Department brought their Ghillie suit, years of experience and courage to Belwood's Kindergarten Career Day last week. Although concerned about sharing information with a bunch of little people, these two performed like the CHAMPS that they are and the students were so excited to see them. Detective Fox and Corporal Pullen walked away (more like ran) without being hand cuffed or tased by aforementioned small children so we think that is a victory for all involved! #winning
Thank you two for being such good sports and for elevating students' comfort level in interacting with adult professionals.

Shown here is Capt. Ken Trammell, from Advent Health Gordon County.
Students don’t just learn from their teachers. Community members and leaders can play a vital role in a student’s education. Kindergarten Career Day provided a platform where Belwood students could directly interact with members of their community.
Having a diverse group of presenters allows students to see themselves represented in different career paths. Thank you Capt. Trammell for serving as role model and mentor for our students.

So thankful for Community Partners in Education who take time out of their busy work day to come to Belwood to nurture career exploration and help students discover careers they may not have imagined. Shown here are Lt. Ron Chance,
Lt. Greg Hasty and FF Aaron King.
