It’s that time of the year again! Next week we will begin our Holiday Gift Shop.
Belwood Elementary School is participating in the Snowman Spectacular sponsored by the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce. All snowmen are on display at the Calhoun Recreation Department. Everyone is invited to vote for their favorite snowman. It is $1 per vote. You can vote using this link https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=CX2GNGXAJHCM4 Make sure to specify Belwood Elementary School Spot #30 or you can send $1 with your student to school to vote for the BES snowman. There will be two categories of winners. Judge’s choice and People’s choice. Stop by the Calhoun Recreation Department and take a picture with your family and the BES Snowman and send to your child’s teacher!!
Circus McGurkus and the specials teachers at Belwood helped students get into the holiday spirit by creating a Christmas Tree Decorating Relay! All grade levels were fully engaged in this amazing activity and all our students are now ready for the BESt time of the year!

Belwood Pre K attended Pre K Pops today at the Harris Arts Center sponsored by Engineered Flooring of Calhoun. We enjoyed a performance by The Ken Scott Magic Show. Today was our first field trip in our NEW field trip shirts. We would like to do a BIG shout out to our sponsors for our shirts, Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home and The John Grooms Insurance Agency and of course our parents!!

This week during our Bus Safety Presentation, Abby Bryant and Owen Richardson were Caught being Good by showing exceptional Belwood Bright Behavior! They were actively listening, being respectful and following directions. Such great leadership qualities for students so young:). We are very proud of these kids and all kids who demonstrate Belwood's Bright Behavior on a daily basis!
Mr. Javier Castro, a student in Ms. Albritton's room, "cashed" in some Class Dojo points to he could assist Mrs. Holt during morning announcements! He did a fabulous job and we see public speaking in his future!
