School Shirts! If you ordered from our last round of shirts, they are officially in! You can come by the front office to pick up your order. If you prefer for us to send it home with your child, please contact the front office. Generally, an in person pick up is the best option to ensure it will get home.

This young man right here, Mr. Worley, deserves a special shout out from Belwood for years and years of service.
Mr. Worley would pick up the school's bank deposits for us and get them where they needed to be.
He is officially retired and Belwood Elementary's wish for him is to have many, many years of rest and relaxation in his future!

Gordon County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, January 22. This delay is implemented to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families at this time.
Please adjust your child's morning drop-off time by two hours. Buses will also operate on a two-hour delay behind their usual route times. Elementary schools will begin at 9:30 a.m. Middle and high schools will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Note that buses may run slightly later than the normal schedule to allow for extra precautions to keep students warm and safe. Encourage children to dress warmly as they travel to school. Layering helps keep them safe and warm. Indoor recess activities will take place. We will also provide flexibility with arrival times for all students to ensure safe arrivals.
Weather forecasts indicate a slight chance of precipitation this evening. We are working closely with local agencies to continue monitoring the situation and will notify families promptly through our communication channels if anything changes.
Gordon County Schools will be closed Tuesday, January 21st, 2025.
Due to the latest weather forecast predicted by GEMA for potential precipitation in the northwest Georgia region, all schools in the district will be closed Tuesday. This precaution is to ensure the safety of our students, employees, and families for unpredictable weather.
We will continue to work with local agencies to monitor the weather forecast for the rest of the week. Families will be promptly notified through our communication channels.

The festivities will be held in the Belwood elementary gymnasium from 6:00 PM and
end at 8:00 PM.
Wear your Sunday best for this special time together! A snack bar will be available!
Moms, aunts, grandmothers, cousins, or anyone with a special gentleman is invited
to spend an evening with music and dancing fun.
If you do not have anyone to escort
your special gentleman, please contact the school and speak to Mrs. Holt or Mr. Fox.
Schooldays will offer a photo option at this event.

We are so excited to present the Creative Discovery Museum Literacy Night!
This will be a night of fun for the whole family. The stations will include: Campfire reading, jump rope rhymes, Sight Word Jenga, Illustration Examination, Textile letters, Improv, silly stories, puppet theater, and stop motion animation!
This is going to be an entertaining night for everyone!
