Yesterday the Boys and Girls Phoenix Golf team won their final home match of the season vs. the Northwest Bruins.
The Girls won with a 102 vs. the Lady Bruins 120. Ella Offutt was the low scorer with a 50 and Janey-Kate King shot a 52 on the day.
The Boys won with a 182 versus the Bruins 184. Alec Strickland was the low scorer with a 39 on the day. Alec finished the season as the low scorer in every 9 hole match of the season- the first time this has been accomplished in Sonoraville Golf history.
The Phoenix Golf team will compete in the 4-A Area Tournament, Monday, April 29th at Oak Mountain Golf Club in Lagrange. ⛳️
Join us Tuesday, April 30 for performances by the SHS Symphonic Band, The SHS Jazz Band, and the Phoenix Percussion Ensemble!

Sonoraville High School National Beta Club Welcomes the 2024 New Members!!
This is an honor bestowed upon students because of their outstanding qualities of character, scholarship, and leadership.
There will be a reception for Beta Club members this Thursday, April 25 at 8:45 a.m. in the cafeteria. All officers, current members, and new members are invited to attend. New members should have received an invitation during advisement.
This reception is for students only! Parents of new members will be invited to awards day in May, where new members will receive pins and certificates.

Sonoraville High School has partnered with the Calhoun-Gordon County Kiwanis Club to host a BOOK DRIVE!📚
- All books will be donated to the Gordon County Child Advocacy Center.
- We are collecting NEW or GENTLY USED books (Birth-Age 5).
- Monetary donations will also be accepted. All funds collected will be used to purchase books.
All donations are due THIS FRIDAY, April 26th.

Marketing Director Alison Alwes from the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement (GLISI) sat down with teachers Adrienne Bowen, Ashley Brookshire, and Matthew Rigdon to discuss their Aspiring Leaders capstone project, titled "Building Bridges: Fostering Engagement and Relationships."
During the interview, they delved into the details of their project, which aimed to enhance student engagement and foster stronger relationships within the school community. Adrienne, Ashley, and Matthew provided insights into their strategies, challenges faced, and the positive impacts observed throughout the implementation process. Through their collaborative efforts and dedication, they demonstrated a profound commitment to improving educational experiences for both students and staff.

The Sonoraville Future Business Leaders of America chapter has won the prestigious Gold Chapter Award! This remarkable achievement can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of our exceptional students who have shown unwavering commitment towards FBLA's mission of preparing students for future careers in business and entrepreneurship.
The FBLA Gold Chapter Award is a significant accomplishment that recognizes chapters for their outstanding efforts in promoting membership, community service, education, and leadership development. It is a testament to the tireless work of our students, who have demonstrated exceptional teamwork, perseverance, and innovative thinking to achieve this award!

SHS sophomore, Morgan Guyton, has won 10th place in the state in the FBLA Introduction to Event Planning competitive event!
This competitive event consisted of a role-play scenario where Morgan had to demonstrate critical thinking, marketing, and the ability to plan and execute successful events that meet the needs of clients and customers. Her creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills have set her apart from her peers, and we are incredibly proud of her achievement.
