Thank you to Mohawk Flooring for bringing "Mohawk Design Day" to Sonoraville High School on Monday! The team educated students on the Mohawk Design department, the history behind the production process and career opportunities. They finished with an assignment for students to create his/her own carpet pattern and compete with their peers in a design challenge that supports the current theme: Better Together. The design team will decide on the top 3 entries and invite those students to the Light Lab in which they will get their design created on the sample equipment, along with a small prize!

Foreign Language students went on a field trip to La Esperanza Bakery in Dalton today. We learned about Mexican traditions for the Day of the Dead or “Dia de Muertos”. Students observed and participated in the process for making “pan de muerto” with the head baker. We learned how the bread is an essential part of the ofrendas traditions during this week’s celebrations. After, we enjoyed traditional meals al El Ranchero. We had a great time learning culture!
