WOW!! Huge opening day for the SHS PHOENIX tennis teams with both teams qualifying for the the state tournament.
The LADY PHOENIX tennis team started the day off with a huge win against the LADY MOUNTAINEERS of North Murray, propelling them into an afternoon clash with the LADY INDIANS of Murray County. In the Murray County match, the LADY PHOENIX battled all afternoon but came up a little short.
The PHOENIX tennis team riding an 8 game region winning streak, started the day off with a quick dusting of the WARRIORS of LFO, propelling them into the afternoon match with the TIGERS of RINGGOLD. The RINGGOLD match was some of the same, another huge win, extending their region winning streak to 10 games and a spot in the championship match against the COLTS of Coahulla Creek who upset the Murray County INDIANS in the afternoon match.
Thank you to all the players, coaches, and parents for a great day and let's bring home the championship.
GO PHOENIX!

The Student Government Association (SGA) is recognizing the SHS custodial and cafeteria staff this week. These school heroes often go unnoticed for their hard work and daily dedication, but without them our school would not be able to function. Thank you to both groups for all you do for our student body!

SHS Hosted the FES Kindergarteners--Future Phoenix!!
"What a great day! Our kids loved it! The performing arts kids, the ECE kids, and Student Government kids were wonderful when interacting with our students. The JROTC kids were nice to watch with their drill exhibition. The yearbook photographers were super nice! The lunchroom staff treated us well, too! We can go on and on with compliments! Every SHS student and staff member we encountered were gracious and welcoming!"
