Leadership from across Gordon County Schools recently took part in a district-wide safety training, receiving important updates from Tim Reeves with GEMA, Courtney Taylor from Gordon County Emergency Management, and Captain Jack Jenkins with the Gordon County Sheriff's Department.
Safety remains a top priority for Gordon County Schools. Over the past two years, all GCS schools have been recognized by the Georgia Department of Education for their commitment to safety. In March, SHS, GCHS, AMS, RBMS, WLS, and SES were honored through the Ready Georgia Seal of Preparedness program.
Each summer, our schools work closely with local law enforcement and emergency personnel to conduct safety trainings, ensuring we are prepared to protect and serve our students and staff. #ExtraordinaryGCS #ExtraordinaryTogether

Attention Parents of Students in Gordon County Schools:
Bus registration is open! We have survey forms to fill out for the following students:
* New students enrolling to the school district for the first time
* Families who have recently moved residences within our school district
* 2025-2026 Pre-K student
If your child needs transportation this fall and is new, recently moved, or enrolling into Pre-K, please take a moment to fill out our survey to help the Transportation Department prepare for the upcoming 2025-2027 school year.
It's important that you carefully read and agree to the policies and procedures outlined in the survey regarding bus transportation. Please note that rising Pre-K students have a different survey than Kindergarten - 12th grade students.

This is the last week for the Summer Feeding Program! We appreciated being able to feed so many people this summer.
Gordon County Schools utilizes My Ride K-12, a parent communication app, for transportation operations and parent information. My Ride K-12 is integrated with our transportation software for families to access estimated times of arrival or departure for buses.
My Ride K-12 is designed so you can access your student’s bus schedules efficiently. GPS technology on the bus works with the district’s software to automatically calculate the timing of a bus route to give you the most accurate ETAs with real-time updates and route changes.
My Ride K-12 is available for you to download on your Apple or Android mobile device. Our flyer provides step-by-step registration instructions, and you can access the app to download in a variety of ways.
