ATTENTION Class of 2025 SENIORS!
The application process for the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce 2024-2025 Youth Leadership program has begun. Students will be chosen from the senior class of each of the county’s high schools. Those selected will attend various tours and activities across Gordon County and our state’s Capitol to build student’s leadership skills and to showcase opportunities available to them. There are also two scholarships that will be awarded to two graduates of the program. Applications are due Thursday, September 5th. If you are interested, scan the QR code to access the instructions and the application. Please email completed applications to abrookshire@gcbe.org.

The College Board has recently honored six exceptional students from Sonoraville High School for their outstanding achievements as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars during the 2023-24 school year. This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and academic excellence of these students and their schools.
These Phoenix students earned the distinction of AP Scholar, meaning they received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.:
